How much does a wedding magician cost?
UK wedding magicians typically range from £300 for newer performers to £1,500+ for premium, established acts. Most professional, experienced magicians sit between £600 and £1,200. Most wedding bookings are 2–3 hours, which is enough to cover the drinks reception or the gaps between courses during the wedding breakfast. If you want coverage from pre-ceremony drinks through to the evening, a longer booking or an additional performer may be needed for larger guest lists.
How many guests can one magician cover?
A good close-up magician can usually entertain 100–150 guests in a 2–3 hour period. If you have more than 150 guests, or you want everyone to see magic during a shorter window, consider extending the time or booking a second magician to avoid anyone missing out.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. Any professional wedding supplier should carry public liability insurance, and many venues now require it. I am fully insured and happy to provide a certificate for your venue coordinator if needed. It is one of the first things you should ask any entertainer before booking.
Can we see videos of you performing at real weddings?
Absolutely. Showreels filmed alone at home are very different from footage at actual events with real guests. I share videos from live performances so you can see how guests react, how I approach different groups, and whether the style fits the tone of your wedding.
Can we talk on the phone before booking?
Yes — and I encourage it. A quick call is the best way to check we are a good fit, talk through your timings, and make sure the magic suits your guests. It also gives you a sense of how I communicate, which matters almost as much as the performance itself.
What style of magic do you perform at weddings?
My wedding work is close-up magic and mind-reading performed with cards, coins, borrowed objects, and everyday items. It is interactive, personal, and designed to work in the background of a busy drinks reception or wedding breakfast without interrupting conversations or photographs.
Red Flags to Watch For
